Just thinking out loud

It’s Sunday, no, I didn’t go to church. I woke up feeling restless, my mind is busy… well, honestly, if you ask me what exactly is on my mind , I cant give you a straight answer. It’s just that feeling of having a lot on your plate, even when you can’t quite identify all the dishes.

I slept late. Work has been good, truly. I genuinely enjoy the problemsolving and the satisfaction of getting things done well, that part really excites me. But if I’m being completely honest, there’s this thing that keeps longing for something more, something beyond my current role. It’s not about dissatisfaction; it’s more about recognising that this is a significant step in my journey, not the final destination.

So, why the skip on church today? Maybe it’s my restlessness.  If anyone out there has the magic formula for decluttering mental baggage, please, send it to me. I’m seriously considering enrolling in a “How to Master the Art of Not Caring” masterclass.

On a lighter note, my day has been okay. I had meat pie for breakfast and custard for lunch. Dinner is still a question mark, but you can bet I’ll be choosing something that brings me genuine joy. Yes, food gives me joy.

I got back from the clinic yesterday after spending 100k on what started as a slight headache and got home exgausted. I dont even know if its exhaustion from the clinic runs or the money i coughed out. How much is my salary ni tori olorun?

Asoon as i got home, i went to iya shukuras buka. Got some pounded yam and egusi soup accompanied with assorted meat dem, stepped it down with cold water.

I honestly wonder how people are surviving in this Nigeria.

Right now, I hate how i feel sha. Well, it is well

Anyway, this is probably just one of those days, I hope? The kind you just have to ride out i guess.

I think this is where you send me virtual hugs.
